Chesapeake, VA (March 12, 2008) – Why was Ned Gregg “King for a Day”? Because at almost 90 years old, Ned is still a member of the work force! On August 23rd, Ned will celebrate his 90th birthday!
Next year, the Virginia Ship Repair Association will celebrate its 25th anniversary. The association was founded in 1984 as the South Tidewater Association of Ship Repairers (STASR) when the leaders of our industry joined forces to craft a coalition to “raise the tide” for the entire ship repair industry in Hampton Roads. Their vision charted a course that brings us into 2008 larger and stronger than anytime in our history.
